End of 2016

Cindy Batres on January 4, 2017

We wish you a Merry Christmas, We wish you a Merry Christmas, We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  (That is as close to singing as you will get from us!)  ha ha

Another year is concluding and we just want to say THANK-YOU for helping make it another blessed year!  We enjoyed all our teams this year, including our returning friends and our new partners in ministry.

When I sit and write what God accomplished through our joint efforts, I am humbled and filled with praise.  This year of 2016 alone saw us :

  • Finish a church that had long stood half done.
  • Build FOUR brand-new schools in villages near and far.
  • Do additional work on 2 schools, previously built by our teams, that now had additional needs.
  • Host a medical team that saw over 700 people that have little or no available medical care.
  • Host training sessions for pastors and also for Sunday school workers- giving them tools to build the Kingdom and disciple believers.
  • Share the gospel through many, many VBS activities in schools and villages
  • Enlarge the Child Sponsorship program to 50 students, who are now able to get a quality education in a Christian school.
  • Pass out nearly 200 backpacks of school supplies, enabling public school students to attend school who may not otherwise be able to attend

GOD IS SO GOOD!  Individually we can do very little, but together, with the Blessing and Strength given by Almighty God, we can do great things! We reallly can make a difference in our world. Please know that we depend upon your prayers.  Thank-you for praying for us.  We need your support and your participation.  Thank-you to all who have given, who have prepared and have come and worked with us.  We can not do it alone.

If God so leads, you can send donations to:

Or you can give online via Pay Pal on our website:   www.mission2guatemala.com

On a personal note, we welcomed our sixth grandchild, Rose Joy Lowstetter, into our family.  Cindy was able to be with daughter Melissa for a few weeks at the birth. We look forward to celebrating Christmas with all our family before returning to Guatemala early January to get all the students ready for a new school year that starts mid January.

May you celebrate the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, with your friends and family, and celebrate the Light you are sharing in this darkened world.
